Academic Requirements
Drawing from both Business Management and Computer Science, the Information Systems Minor builds on the foundations of an education in the liberal arts by stressing strong analytical skills, the facility to find imaginative solutions to difficult problems, and the application of ethical principles.
Information Systems Minor Requirements:
Eight courses (32 credits) are required for the Information Systems minor.

You can also, with the permission of your IS advisor, choose an elective from special topics courses offered by the Business Management and Computer Science departments, as well as from information-centered courses offered by other departments.
If you are a Computer Science major, we will encourage you to take an elective outside of the Computer Science Department, and if you are a Business Management major, we will encourage you to take an elective outside of that department.
You may not count the courses for a minor in Information Systems again for a minor in Computer Science or Business Management without the approval of the Chairs of the respective departments. If you are double-majoring in Computer Science and Business Management, you will be required to take an additional elective.
